There are tribute bands, and then there’s BCDC. They were born of bush party ashes in the summer of 1999. Over 1000 unexpected gigs later, Canada’s BC/DC has systematically redefined the concept of a tribute band, garnering iconic status amongst diehard fans, agents, and venues from Vancouver BC to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. From the backyard biker bashes of Ymir, to the star-studded legendary rooms of Las Vegas. From Nelson to Shanghai.

While a web search will turn up dozens of AC/DC cover acts around the world, there aren’t likely many who’ve so successfully branded the Aussie band’s timeless raunch with such epic rock n’ roll fury, while also managing to bottle the essence of a wild frontier lifestyle.

Unlike many tribute acts claiming to be “North America’s #1 Clone” or “Just Like the Real Thing”, BC/DC has turned the tables. The band takes a comedic approach, claiming the tunes as their own, and to having “heard of some BC/DC tribute band from Australia”. They rarely give factual interviews to big city press. Adding to the schtick, the band members all go by comic aliases – lead singer Brendan Raftery’s Brian “Bon” Johnscottson paying respects to both AC/DC’s famous frontmen. It’s working. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

Dreams - The Ultimate tribute to Fleetwood Mac

From the music to the costumes, Dreams portrays Fleetwood Mac with incredible authenticity. This is definitely a show you won't want to miss. Formed in 2005, this group of talented, diverse performers came together with a passion for the music, and a desire to take the 'Tribute Act' genre to another level. When you sit back and reminisce about the 70's & 80's music, one of the top bands to grace the charts was Fleetwood Mac. Even today, 30 plus years later, you can still here their music on the radio stations around the world. It was with that thought in mind that Dreams was born. Together Stevie (Tracy Masson), Lindsey (Mario Parente), Christine (Rachael Chatoor), Mick (Todd McGarvey), John (Ray Doucet), are The Mac Pac. The fab five are joined by the talents of Bob Van Velzen (Keyboards), completing this grand six piece live production. The cast of Dreams takes great pride being able to replicate the Fleetwood Mac sound so closely that it's difficult to tell the difference. Get going and get grooving to Dreams!

Five on the Side is Edmonton’s favorite cover party band. The group has been working together for 17 years and prides themselves on the 3 P’s…Party, Professionalism and Perfection. From the moment that they set foot on stage to when they grab you from your seats with their wireless technology and infectious energy, it is hard to take a break to catch your breath. Five on the Side proudly produces the best music and entertainment money can buy. The band has carefully chosen their playlist to cater to any demographic or style-be it for the young country lover or the mature Top 40 groover. No order is too tall for the band… and requests are welcomed.

Five on the Side was carefully selected and flown all the way to Iceland to play for a major event, and they have been a partner with the Yellowknife Community Foundation Gala for several years. They have three times been featured at the Tim Horton’s Brier, and also at UpFest, to open for Canada’s iconic artists, Loverboy, Trooper and April Wine.

Five on the Side … “They aren’t at the party. They ARE the party!”
